We got hacked yesterday. Some group claiming to be out of asia hacked us good but we are thankful that the hacks didn't have too much fun. It only makes sense that they would refrain from doing too much damage as they surely knew this was the only outlet to report on the matter.

We made quick work of recovering though we still have work to do.

What made the entire thing so much worse is the numbers of symptoms that were reported to "dedicated" server technicians yet upon each issue raised we were always greeted with the same response "the server is working just fine".

Nothing wrong, move along we were told.

Maybe someone will take the time to elaborate on the difficulties of getting good service out of "dedicated" server folks but until such time just know that you are mostly better off doing all that you can without anyone holding your hand.
