The Savannah Morning News has given plenty of coverage to the cost of airfare from Savannah to Atlanta but what do they really expect? The paper expects the rates to come down? They expect a competing airline executive to read the pages and decide they want to do business here? Come to Savannah with open arms to a bunch of complaining people led by groups such as the visitor's and convention folks? The shamber of commerce? The "news" paper? Sure, real inviting.

The global airline industry is said to have lost about $11 billion in 2009 and expect to lose $5.6 billion this year according to the Air Transport Association. And Delta? Well, we will have quarter earnings reports sometime next week and we will know for sure but in the time between it is expected that Delta will report a quarterly loss.

Flying is an expensive business to be in. You have expensive inspections and routine maintenance, you have about 1 out of 8 non farm jobs that are industry related and you have fuel costs that are very expensive.

Go ahead and google the salaries pilots are earning these days. Yes, what a glamorous job sitting in a tight cockpit with such an enormous responsibility of flying an airplane. Ever think it would fun? Just imagine driving your car without any music or talk radio or your lover sitting next to you telling you sweet things and instead have an air traffic controller tell you exactly what to do while monitoring a complex panel of instruments and moving fuel from this tank to that tank and then advising passengers why there is some delay and then finding out you should not have had that last cup of coffee or that the bag of tacos from last night is suddenly not agreeing with you.

Yes, this is all very sexy and on top of that the "news" paper is telling you that your fees are too high.

WHY DON'T YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE COST OF FLYING AND MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS?

Yes, I recently took a trip to my new favorite destination on the other side of the earth where it is warm and sunny and they have plenty of clean beaches and very nice people all around and the cost was only about double what the idiots at the "news" paper are fussing about over a flying trip to Atlanta. I was checking in and the kind lady at the Delta counter smiled when I told her that the "news" paper et. al. were a bunch of dummies for complaining about the cost of air travel to Atlanta. I told her I understood what an expensive business it was and thought the paper was CRAZY for printing such terrible things about the fees THIS PRIVATE CARRIER IS CHARGING FOR THEIR SERVICE. I TOLD HER THAT THOSE PEOPLE COMPLAINING SHOULD TAKE A FUCKING BUS IF THEY DON'T LIKE THE FEES FOR AIR TRAVEL.

SHE LIKED MY POINT. SHE PUT ME IN A FIRST CLASS SEAT FOR THE 30 MINUTE FLIGHT TO ATLANTA.

So really, if it costs so much less to go other places WHY DON'T THESE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FEES TO ATLANTA GO SOMEWHERE ELSE?

HONESTLY, THE BIGGEST SHIT HOLE ON MY LIST AFTER SAVANNAH WOULD HAVE TO BE ATLANTA.

So, goto Jacksonville for your flight. Take a bus to get to where you are going. Go out and buy an airplane, learn to fly, then complain about the high costs of owning and operating an airplane.
 
Why doesn't the "news" paper write about the high cost of root canals? Crowns? Huh? How about talking about something that most people HAVE TO HAVE? MUST HAVE? Huh? How about the high cost of the root canal ~ $1000.00USD or crown ~ $1200.00? FUCKERS. Want to bitch about your real estate meeting in ATL or season tickets to see a football game and the cost of going there from Savannah? How about internet video conference for FREE FUCKERS. How about watch your fucking team play on TV for FREE FUCKERS.

How about the "news" paper talk about the high costs of ROOT CANALS IN SAVANNAH. FUCKERS. WRITE ABOUT HOW MUCH CHEAPER IT IS TO FLY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EARTH WITH HOTEL, AIRFARE, ROOT CANAL, BEACH, FOOD, BIKINI WAX, CROWN AND HOT ROCK MASSAGE FOR LESS THAN A VISIT TO A SAVANNAH DENTIST? HUH? FUCKERS. NOT SOME WEEKEND TRIP BUT FOR 3 WEEKS FUCKERS.

IF WE HAVE ONE AIRLINE THAT PROVIDES SERVICE TO ATLANTA AND THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS THAT PAY THE FEE WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE THEN ALL OF THE FUCKERS WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO FLY TO ATL SHOULD SHUT THE FUCK UP.

IT IS SHAMEFUL THAT THE "NEWS" PAPER AND OTHERS IN SUCH "HIGH" POSITIONS WOULD SAY A WORD ABOUT THE COST OF AIR TRAVEL.

HOW MANY TAX DOLLARS IS THE VISITOR'S BUREAU TAKING IN EACH YEAR? EXPENSIVE BURDEN ON THE TAX PAYERS? THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? HOW MANY MILLIONS ARE YOU SUCKING OFF OF THE TAX PAYERS?
